Dr. Bart Hodgins grew up in rural Alberta, Canada. He graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon in 1997. In April 2000 he moved to Asheville and immediately opened River Ridge Chiropractic. Dr. Bart (as his patients affectionatly call him) enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife and two sons and has an enthusiasm for life that is contagious.
In the ten years that Dr. Hodgins has been in practice he has developed a comprehensive approach to health care that supports the patient on multiple levels. In combining different health care approaches (chiropractic, decompression, acupuncture, herbal therapy, orthotics, exercise, diet, orthopedic supports) Dr. Hodgins often can find faster and more lasting approaches to both common and more concerning health issues.
Dr. Bart’s commitment to his patients and their health has led him to Spinal Decompression. Now, individuals who have been faced with surgery, or a lifetime of pain have another option!
PATRYCE ABBOTT
Patryce is our Office Manager and Patient Advocate, providing many of the support therapies, and working closely with decompression. She holds a bachelors degree in Psychology from CSU, Sacramento. Patryce first came to our office as a Massage Therapist in January 2001. Her massage training was at the New Center for Wholistic Health, Education and Research, Long Island, NY. Prior to coming to Asheville she created and owned Blue Point Wellness Center on L.I. Patryce’s strengths are her medical knowledge, her compassion and empathy, her communication skills, and her keen awareness of patient needs, all of which are fully utilized at River Ridge Chiropractic and Natural Medicine. Because of her deep respect for Dr. Bart and his commitment to his patients, she has put her massage practice aside to join him in providing you with the best care possible.
ARRANA ASHTON
Arrana is our Account Specialist, and so much more. She has been with us since December 2006 and has become an expert with medical billing and patient account management. Since making her home in Asheville in 2005, Arrana has become a Reiki Master and Certified Energy Healer through the NC School of Natural Healing. Arrana is compassionate and caring, and will do her best to help our patients in any way she can. Away from the office she enjoys reading, creating pottery, and traveling. After 20 years in her beloved “home” state of Arizona, Arrana can’t imagine living anywhere but in the lush landscape of WNC.
